The definition of “Insurance Broker” in the Regulation on Insurance and Reinsurance Brokers issued by the Undersecretariat of Treasury is as follows; “Insurance Brokers are the persons or institutions who carry out the business of representing those who want to have their insurance branches taken out, performing the necessary preparation works before the execution of the contract, acting completely impartial and independent in the selection of companies unless the represented persons have instructed otherwise, bringing the represented persons and insurance companies together, assisting in the performance of the contract and especially the payment of the coverage in accordance with the provisions of the contract when the risk occurs.”
